About Micah War Dog Wright

I am an award-winning writer/director, videogame designer, Virtual Reality pioneer, educator, and former television executive at FNX: First Nations Experience, America's only broadcast network devoted to Native American and World Indigenous content. As a writer/director/producer, I've written and designed over fifty videogames, including the $2.75 Billion grossing mega-hit "Call of Duty: Black Ops II," as well as best-selling games in the Transformers, Ratchet & Clank, and Looney Tunes franchises. I've also written several feature films, dozens of hours of television, four books of political commentary, six graphic novels, and a musical based on the 1980's action film "Red Dawn." My live action feature directing debut, the comedic horror thriller "They're Watching," premiered in theaters and is available now on iTunes & Netflix. As both a filmmaker and game designer, I utilize the dual skillsets necessary to create immersive Virtual Reality entertainment. I won several awards for my work on the underwater VR ocean experience "The Blu." In Spring 2016, I began teaching the world's first live action Virtual Reality filmmaking course at Emerson College. My books of political writing, "YOU Back the Attack: WE'LL Bomb Who We Want," "If You're Not A Terrorist, Then Stop Asking Questions," and "Surveillance Means Security!" are available now at booksellers. My satirical political art has appeared in The New York Times, The Nation, Sunday Guardian UK, The Boston Globe, the New Internationalist, the New Statesman, The Washington Post, and on the Fox News Channel.I'm passionate about creating content and enjoy working with executives and creators to accomplish that goal.

Writer/Director/Producer for Film & Television* Have worked in animation, live action, features, TV, drama, comedy, and non-fiction. If you need it written, directed, or produced, I can and have done any combination of those 3 things. Writer/Narrative Designer for VR & videogames: * Intellectual Property development for games * Game concept development * Pitch document creation * Game design document creation * Level design & gameplay development * Story creation... or development & consulting on your existing story * Dialog Scripting & rewriting (cinematics, in-game dialog, promotional materials) * Cinematic Storyboarding * Voiceover Direction I've written games start to finish: developed an idea into a game pitch, conceptualized play modes and interface, developed mission goals and contributed to level design, written the GDD, and scripted the cinematic & in-game dialog. On the other extreme, I wrote another game where I was handed 16 finished levels which I then had to tie together with an original story three weeks before the game was mastered. Whatever your requirements, I've done it. My specialty is doing a great job and doing it quickly.

  • Webzen
    Writer
    Webzen Feb 2006 - Dec 2007
Writer of "HUXLEY" for Korean developer/publisher WEBZEN. "The first generation of Xbox 360 games came and went and, for most people, at least one of the questions remained in their minds: Why do these games still look like high-res Xbox games? Not only is Huxley going to be a cross-platform Xbox 360-PC shooter game, it will also be an MMO, and thanks to the Unreal 3.0 engine on which it's running, it's beautiful. Webzen's game is already polished and filled with great details, particularly on the characters and their weapons, but the depth of field is solid and the landscapes are also impressive. One last thing worth mentioning, there is a fully realized single-player game. Yes, it all sounds too good to be true. If Webzen pulls this off, and it looks like it's going to, this will be the MMO to watch -- and for others to follow on Xbox 360." - IGN.COM's "BEST OF E3 2006 - Best Persistent World Game."http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/709/709247p1.html
