Current● Managed $2 million project that created first-of-its-kind human performance medical mission model of aeromedical evacuations to estimate patient outcomes as a function of medical resources available● Created a location analysis optimization model that was used by CDC leadership to understand the trade space between funding levels and geographic access to COVID-19 testing centers● Optimized placement of long-range sensors at the ocean scale using the maximal covering location problem (MCLP) mixed integer programming formulation● Produced global-scale models of shipping activity using ArcGIS scripts using big data of Automatic Identification System (AIS) records to reduce the likelihood of US Navy vessels colliding with merchant vessels● Acted as a subject matter expert in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for the Defense Logistics Agency’s acquisition of AI solutions to improve distribution center operations● Employed predictive analytics to capture submarine behaviors and patterns to improve area of uncertainty (AOU) operations analysis of submarine positional likelihood● Created an agent-based simulation model of US Navy port operations to inform decision making in security force operations and optimal placement of security sensor systems● Principal investigator on environmental health study exploring prevalence of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in US Navy submarines● Advised US Naval Academy senior design students in operations research on optimizing in vitro fertility clinic locations to maximize coverage of service members and veterans● Led data analysis efforts of the Pandarra Wave 2017 joint exercise between the US and Australia and briefed findings to a three-star vice admiral in the US Navy● Lead the planning and analysis of data for the test and evaluation of the final operating capability for the vigilance localization enhancements to the US Navy’s marine mammal swimmer interdiction security system
