Mic is the President of the Center for Systems Improvement (CSI), which provides consulting and support services to healthcare organizations and industry primarily in the areas of performance/value improvement and systems of care, with a focus on high-risk time-sensitive conditions (e.g., acute myocardial infarction, sudden cardiac arrest, trauma, sepsis, and stroke). Mic also leads CSI's spin-off enterprises - EMSPurchasing.com and EMSQualityAcademy.com.He also serves as the Cheif Strategy Officer and Senior Advisor for the Cambridge Consulting Group (https://cambridgecg.net). The firm provides a broad range of EMS consulting services including comprehensive EMS system assessment and improvement recommendation projects and ambulance RFP development and procurement support.Mic was recently appointed by the National EMS Management Association to the position of Editor-in-Chief for a new peer-reviewed academic journal - the International Journal of Paramedicine (https://internationaljournalofparamedicine.com) Prior to launching the Center for Systems Improvement, Mic served at the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association in several roles including National Director of Clinical Systems. As a part of that role, he was the staff lead for the AHA's Mission: Lifeline program and dramatically expanded its scope.Prior to the AHA/ASA, Mic was the Executive Director for the Kent County EMS System in Grand Rapids, MI. He also served for many years as the President of Integral Performance Solutions - an international system and process design firm that specialized in emergency healthcare.
