Ph.D. student in the lab of David Brainard and Geoffery Aguirre. - Led several multi-year research projects aimed at understanding human visual perception and the visual encoding processes.- Designed novel fMRI and psychophysical experiments to understand how the human brain processes color and the temporal dynamics of color processing. - Developed computational models using fMRI to predict brain responses to color and using psychophysics to estimate the temporal impulse response functions of color mechanisms.Programmed functions to generate stimuli with specific colorimetric properties to be displayed on both conventional monitors and a custom digital light synthesis device. Made spectroradiometric validations of these stimuli. Calibrated monitors as well as assessed their spatial, temporal, and bit-depth properties. - Used publicly available data to create spatial models of retinal anatomy to produce a map of the Henle fiber displacement between the cone photoreceptors and retinal ganglion cells.- Wrote manuscripts for publication explaining motivations, methods, and findings of the research.

- Led independent research on the topics of the development of human object recognition and the structure-function relationships of high level-vision.- Managed the day-to-day operations of a multiyear multimillion dollar research project for a team of 10+ scientists. - Collected longitudinal MRI and psychophysical data in both children and adults. - Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to provide technical and scientific computing support. - Designed, fabricated, and installed an MRI compatible projector display system. Collected feedback to be used in second generation of display.

Undergraduate research assistant in the Visual Perception and Neuroimaging Lab -Used machine learning (support vector machines, linear discriminate analysis, and k-means) to examine the neural representation of biological motion from fMRI measures.

- Lead designer of the case housing the Omega Entertainment Machine. Designed a case that satisfied both the the internal component mounting requirements and design inspirations.- Created 3D models of the molds used for injection molding of the case used in production.

- Made 3D computer models of parts specified by blueprints using Solidworks.- CNC and manual machining of parts to within customer specifications.
