He has also organized several round table discussions at Treasury on cyber insurance, as well as represented Treasury at public meetings and panel discussions on the topic of cyber insurance. At the IAIS, Michael represents the United States in the Governance Working Group, Insurance Groups Working Group, and Supervisory Materials Review Task Force. Michael serves as the vice-chair of the Governance Working Group. He also participates in the cyber-related initiatives of the IAIS Financial Crime Task Force. Michael also represents Treasury on the Mitigation Framework Leadership Group (MitFLG), an intergovernmental coordinating structure focused on integrating Federal efforts regarding mitigation and creating a national culture shift that embeds risk management and mitigation in all planning, decision making, and development to the extent practicable. He has been integral in the MitFLG's work developing a draft National Mitigation Investment Strategy, an initiative to increase coordination between the public, private, and non-profit sector mitigation and resilience investments.
