Created 4-phase technology development program to develop high-bandwidth networking capabilities to enable company’s on-orbit infrastructure goals, pitched and persuaded leadership, instantiated and led development on Phase 1- Assembled team (Product, Business, Engineering) to explore problem space and define technology roadmap- Resolved administrative, legal, and financial roadblocks ultimately establishing project team with ~$300k budget - Led blank page design of Phase 1 subsystem in collaboration with Systems and Avionics teams- Coordinated development across disciplines (EE, Mechanical, Thermal, Systems, SW)- Completed trade studies: ethernet switch ICs, software architecture (Linux vs RTOS vs bare-metal)- Radiation tested components selected from trade studies to prove flight worthiness- Mitigated supply chain nightmares, orchestrated manufacturing, delivered engineering unit

Led internal development as sole individual contributor and coordinated external development of embedded Linux environment to support flight software for OBC- Befriended Tux: worked with device tree, boot sequence, init systems, device control, memory mgmt, logging, and more!- Streamlined Buildroot build system workflow and improved build output logging and record keeping- Customized board-specific defconfig: added utilities, tailored system parameters, managed external repo integration- Used post-build scripts to optimize build outputs for constraints of target board- Configured target system: networking, user account, log management, console extensions, etc- Managed contractor work on complex custom package development: delivered specs, tested, debugged, integrated- Created init system services to provide standard interface for peripherals and flight-critical applications- Developed watchdog service to monitor flight-critical applications and report system diagnostics- Wrote user space utility for FPGA-based GPIOs to provide clean API access for flight software- Descended into the depths of OBC hardware design, FPGA timing, and image generation to un-panic a wayward kernel

- Upgrading and automating COSMOS ground station interface- Developed a COSMOS ground station GUI for real time telemetry data visualization- Added features to Buildroot using post-build scripts- Calculated device metrics for computational density, power consumption, memory bandwidth

- Created test scripts to verify SpaceWire communication across embedded devices- Integrated simulation environment components using shell scripts- Tested telemetry packet send/receive using custom COSMOS ruby scripts

- Wrote MATLAB code to extract, filter, and process EMG data- Analyzed and implemented industry standard algorithms to identify motor unit activation- Evaluated methods by which EMG data could be used to predict muscle force output
