I’ve been on both sides – agency and supplier to the industry – and I have always felt that something wasn’t adding up.On one hand Landlords need their agents to look after them and provide the best solutions possible. They have lots of choice and will happily change agents if they do not think their agent is delivering value to themOn the other, the Letting agents need to operate efficiently and at profit, while juggling many landlords, dealing with rising business costs, new legislations, increasing competition, and worse, having to reduce their fees to win the business.Often, the outcome is an unhappy Landlord, a lost business relationship and the lost revenue that goes with it.A recent PropertyEye poll showed that one of the major reasons for these relationships breaking down is problems with contractors that the agent has referred to the landlord -the two most common problems being overcharging and poor quality work/customer service. Many agents see this as something outside of their control, in truth it is anything but.Letting Agents have long understood that lasting relationships with their landlords are key to their success, what they have perhaps underestimated is the degree to which their contractors help to facilitate this.I am here to help London's Letting Agents improve the service they are providing to their landlords, leading to more long lasting relationships and more revenue. If you want to know how I do that, please PM me Show less
