US Army Logistics Captain's Career Course

Operations Officer for a logistics battalion which encompasses 4 companies, consisting of450 Soldiers. Plans, controls and executes mission operations for the Battalion. Prepares all operations orders, field training exercises planning, and training calendars. Prepares detailed plans supporting execution of the Battalion Commander's intent. Works closely with the Battalion Executive Officer to coordinate and supervise training. Prepares courses of action and recommendation of actions or decisions to the Battalion Commander for the accomplishment of the mission. Resources with the companies to establish the composition of forces required to support plans, from the fiscally constrained force to the resourced force level. Responsible for the mentorship, training, morale, and welfare for three officers, 10 NCOs, and their Families.

Serves as the Operations Officer and second in command of a distribution company. Responsible for managing the daily operations of a unit consisting of 133 personnel and over $60 million worth of organizational equipment. Manages the accountability, readiness and maintenance of all assigned vehicles and equipment. Provides resourcing and oversight of all company and platoon level training; responsible for the management and oversight of company distribution operations in-support-of seven subordinates battalions consisting of over 4,500 people.
