Conducted significant research and analysis relating to acquisitions, in-process developments, new areas of business interest and financings. Identified competitive threats and opportunities, analyzed regional market trends, and made recommendations for market penetration that led to several acquisitions, including $300+ million Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas. Conducted benchmarking analysis for food and banquet operations of 24 competitive hotel properties. Developed specialized PowerPoint presentations that integrated market-sizing and segmentation analysis into actionable items for decision making by development and operational teams. Provided customer price elasticity and real estate analysis for the acquisition and redevelopment of Le Meridian at Beverly Hills into the first location under SBE’s luxury SLS hotel and resort brand. Co-led research support for restaurant and nightlife redevelopments including Hyde Lounge, Area, The Abbey, as well as the 2006 opening of Philippe Starck designed Katsuya Restaurant in Brentwood

Developed a step-by-step narrative documenting the process by which the firm invests in emerging biotechnology companies. Worked with Director- and VP-level staff, I identified critical interdependencies and determine several ways to reduce inefficiency. Outlined a strategy estimated to decrease transaction processing time by 50%, and presented to management a detailed plan to implement key operational changes and critical feedback mechanisms. Expanded the role of Partnership Finance by facilitating earlier awareness of potential investments. Created an internal archive database and audit trail detailing the accounting treatment of $2.2B acquisition. Seeking to gain a stronger grasp of general accounting principles, Managed a complex database depicting the fair market value (FMV) depreciation adjustments of a $218M bio-plant acquired as part of the merger. Advised department managers on existing cost-sharing agreements with a major corporate partner, recommendations that led to the resolution of longstanding accounting discrepancies of over $15 million.
