Michael A. Magid Email and Phone Number
I am a doctoral candidate at Binghamton University, pursuing a PhD in Systems Science and Industrial Engineering, with a focus on applying systems science principles to genetic and healthcare problems. I have a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, and a bachelor's degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Marist College. I have core competencies in R, Python, Mathematica, Julia, Pandas, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Before joining Binghamton University, I worked as a bench scientist at Pfizer, where I designed and cloned viral vector constructs, performed in vitro and in vivo assessment of viral vector gene transfer, and documented and presented my work. I also participated in the Homeland Security Startup Studio, where I leveraged databases to research and evaluate growth markets and customer discovery, collaborated with a team to validate a business model for cutting edge technology from national labs, and implemented Hubspot, Airtable, and market research strategies. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems, and I am eager to learn from and contribute to a diverse and innovative team.
