Limitations and constraints breed innovation. I have always been drawn to difficult to solve problems, especially ones with seemingly insurmountable hindrances. Having to balance creative problem solving with imposed restrictions is what drew me to biology, where clever experimental design must be be weighed against available knowledge/technique and reproducibility. After graduating I took a position as a Business Insights Engineer at Kubrick Group, applying the problem solving techniques I cultivated during school and my time as a researcher to the world of information services and big data.My work experience and studies both in school and independently have provided me with an eclectic wealth of hard and soft skills that I draw upon in order to creatively approach problems. I consider adaptability and the ability to look at an issue from many perspectives to be key in my approach. My experience presenting findings and disseminating information, as well as reading and writing technical documents, ensures that I am able to effectively communicate my way of thinking to others, allowing efficient work as a part of a team. My key skills: Critical thinking, communication, technical writing, adaptability
