EasyTurf Florida saw a 28% growth that the Field Staff expanded to absorb. I've worked long hours to expand and Train our staff to include six teams of Installers and multiple Independent Contractors. Having attended the University of Akron for Sales Management, I'm the sole person in the Operations Department with a Commission structure for bringing on new Customers and Independent Contractors. I also found a few moments to maintain and update the Company Operations and Installation Manuals. One of my proudest accomplishments has been reducing the Warranty Repairs to almost ZERO after implementing extensive Quality Training and doubling Site Visits from previous Field Manager.

The owner had two companies. His Construction Company finally had an in-house Flooring Professional who could install Carpet, Hard Wood, Laminates, Vinyl, and Tile with experience in complete Kitchen and Bath Renovation. The artificial Turf Company enjoyed TWICE the sales and expanded to three times the staff. I learned the ins-and-outs of Artificial Turf and earned a reputation for Quality that lead to being headhunted to EasyTurf /FieldTurf / Tarkett.

My uncle asked me to help him close out his Flooring Company. I forgot how much I enjoyed working with my hands and the artistic satisfaction of someone's home transformed. He recommended me to his old business partner after his two sons went to school. For the better part of a decade, I learned everything his thirty years of experience in all types of flooring had to teach. Our reputation for being on-time and quality earned us large, repeated Commercial customers including Hallmark Stores and The Salvation Army's office buildings and officer homes. I stayed with him until he retired and we moved to Florida.

I was responsible for prospecting and aggressively pursuing new customers solely through Cold Calling efforts. Sure, I was pretty good and implemented various Sales Strategies from studying at the University of Akron's Fisher School of Sales Management but I really enjoyed learning about insects. When Beg Bugs became a huge concern in Ohio, I was asked to become an expert Pest Control speaker for the Northeast Ohio Apartment Association and Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Association. I maintained these contacts that later got be business in the Commercial Flooring Business.

I managed and retained an account base of 300 top-tier accounts where I exceeded annual revenue growth of 40% by increasing territory revenue to over $2 million. This was at a time when my goal was 10% growth and my counterpart struggled to get 7%.
