● Develop procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with our organizational goals.● Lead the procurement team, oversee all procurement activities, and ensure compliance with our Procurement Standards.● Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure procurement processes are financially sound and legally compliant.● Present procurement reports and recommendations to the vendor panel and finance department.● Vendor selection and contract management – covers the process for drawing up strong written agreements with third parties which include negotiation, change management, and ongoing maintenance. ● Monitoring vendor risk and performance management even after the contract is completed. For example, observing performance levels and analyzing current due diligence.● Communicating with all departments within the enterprise such as internal audit, senior management, etc. to monitor tasks.● Maintaining an effective database of all relevant information related to 3rd-parties, and communicating the same information to senior management, stakeholders, and the board.● Due diligence & residual risk determination: Adequate due diligence assists with selecting the best vendor for your organization, and understanding the controls in place which mitigate the risk to your organization, giving you the residual risk.● Acts as cost controller – Responsible for verifying the correctness of Purchase Order allocation and checking the validity of price comparisons.● Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness● Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power● Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking● Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes.
