During this period, I was the Director of Distribution Engineering and then Director of Transmission Operations and Planning. As Director of Distribution Engineering, I led design standardization initiatives that reduced our procurement costs via greater buying volume and operational costs and risk via reduced training complexity. As Director of Transmission Operations and Planning, I led initiatives to reduce operational risk through: better training for operators; better alignment of planning priorities to operational challenges; more rigorous requirements for putting new upgrades in service; and more widespread communications of the specific potential for unplanned outages during highly loaded days.

In this position, I led the development and execution of the asset strategy for Millstone Nuclear Power Station. This included: capital allocation; project management; and project engineering for the $80M annual capital program.I was also a member of the Site Nuclear Review Board and the Site Operations Review Committee (SORC).

I started as an Associate Engineer in Generation Engineering and progressed through a series of engineering, project management, and leadership roles leading to Director, Nuclear Oversight at Millstone Nuclear Power Station.

I was hired out of WPI as a structural design engineer. I designed the structural attributes of the fan and compressor blades for the original JT10D (now called the PW2037) high bypass gas turbine engine. I also helped design the overall bearing arrangement for this engine.
