As Director of Distribution Engineering, I led design standardization initiatives that reduced our procurement costs via greater buying volume and operational costs and risk via reduced training complexity. As Director of Transmission Operations and Planning, I led initiatives to reduce operational risk through: better training for operators; better alignment of planning priorities to operational challenges; more rigorous requirements for putting new upgrades in service; and more widespread communications of the specific potential for unplanned outages during highly loaded days.

Structural Design EngineerPratt & Whitney (Now Part Of Raytheon Technologies) Feb 1978 - May 1981I was hired out of WPI as a structural design engineer. I designed the structural attributes of the fan and compressor blades for the original JT10D (now called the PW2037) high bypass gas turbine engine. I also helped design the overall bearing arrangement for this engine.
