Michael Ajayi is the Country Director of Enactus Nigeria, a global non-profit organization dedicated to enabling human progress by providing participating undergraduates the training, linkages and other resources they need to become innovative, courageous, committed and values-driven business leaders with a head for business and a heart for the world.Recognised as the world’s largest network of academic, student and business leaders, Enactus is a hands-on experiential leadership and entrepreneurship development program that enables undergraduates develop the leadership and entrepreneurial skills necessary to succeed in our dynamic and fast changing world.As the Country Director, it is Michael’s responsibility to, amongst other things, provide strategic leadership for the organization, expand its influence and ensure that it remains the “best-in-class” organization in youth development in Nigeria; and the “go-to” organization for corporate and public organizations seeking to establish impactful and sustainable partnerships with responsible, credible and result-oriented non-profit organizations.It is also Michael’s responsibility to embark on fundraising activities (build and manage partnerships, secure and manage grants, etc) to unlock the funds required to cover the organization’s annual budget for multiple years.In addition to these, Michael is also responsible for building and leading a results-driven, competent and forward leaning team inspired to work together to achieve organizational goals and the shared vision.Michael Ajayi started his career at Enactus Nigeria as a volunteer. Given his organizational skills, commitment to duty, ability to successfully take on multiple priorities and his sense of responsibility, he was soon recruited as a Program Staff from where he steadily rose through the ranks to the position of the Country Director, which he has held since 2014.
