Key Tasks: • Safeguard the company’s property by deploying efficient security measures.• Investigate all security and fraud incidents and coordinate/follow them through to conclusion.• Support Internal Audit and Forensics function in their fraud related investigations, especially involving external parties and consequently requiring involvement of external Organizations and Authorities.• Manage internal and external security and implement required security procedures.• Ensure safety of members of staff; visitors and ensure workplace safety.• Constantly interface/liaise and collaborate with Security organizations in the country to ensure timeous insights of the security situation in every location hosting MTNs assets and personnel.• Ensure cost effective security enhancement projects.• Ensure adequate protection of goods and equipment of the company at various locations.• Operate the Digital surveillance and Proximity Access control systems to maximize the internal security.• Survey and develop protective security plans for the MTN facilities and constantly evaluating the fit-for-purpose systems and technologies that enhance the delivery of a safe environment for MTN assets and personnel.• Execution of evacuation and relocation plans, supplies and safety in emergencies as guided by the overall business Continuity plan.• Develop, own, and implement required security policy and procedures and constantly evaluate them against the changing Security environment. • Coordinate the deployment and operations of the current security firm at the company premises.• Being the first contact person by police and other security organisation on the security matters in the company• Manage the access control system and ensure that its policy is complied with by all employees and other stakeholders.• Proactive communication and timeously escalated critical security issues to the Head of the Legal and Regulatory function and relevant EXCO member/s according to the case.

Duties & Responsibilities:1. Responsible for day to day supervision of all the guard employed by the British Embassy and DFID. Ensure that security is maintained at an acceptable high level and staffs comply with security regulations. The Supervisor will help the Deputy Security Manager (DSM) and Overseas Security Manager (OSM), and ensure that security policy and instructions are carried out by the guards under their control.2. Maintaining daily contact with the Diplomatic Police Supervisors regarding the protection of the British Embassy, DFID, and Residential properties, bringing to the notice of the Police any failures, and insist upon the failures being dealt with immediately. Out of normal working hours the Supervisor is expected to call on assistance from the Diplomatic Police Area Commander where necessary.3. Identifying failure and problems in the guarding arrangements, and rectify them immediately.4. Helping the DSM organize extra Diplomatic Police and Security Guards for all functions held at the Embassy and at the Ambassador Residence.5. Handling security resources in the most cost-effective way and ensure security requirements are effectively met on daily basis.6. Assist the Deputy Security Manager in organizing applicants who have been identified as suitable to be employed as Security Guards at the Embassy and DFID, paying attention to specific requirements set out by the OSM.7. Conduct day and night security patrols of all residential, properties during and out of normal working hours. Also, monitored all residential guards making sure they comply with security instructions as set by the OSM and DSM.8. Reports at the earliest opportunity on all incidents, problems, faults that have been dealt with within the Embassy, Annex and DFID Compound.9. Checked and ensured that, all Guards are properly dressed in their official uniforms always with no other clothing visible9. Tasked with assisting the DSM/OSM with all other security-related work
