As a current graduate student completing the final courses of the MBA program (with a finance concentration) at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW), not only have I maintained excellent grades, but I also had the opportunity to participate in the CFA Institute Research Challenge. I have always had the character of helping people which is why I have long enjoyed the retail sales environment and getting to work and meet people of all ages. I can easily interact with my co-workers and customers, all of whom have come to know me personally and I enthusiastically lend them my advice and motivation for their goals in life. My study of business and finance stems from my curiosity of how people and businesses are affected by different economic environments. After completing my Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2008, I took some time off from work to spend time with family. At that time, I witnessed the financial market crisis and how it affected people. This is also the time that I gained a passion in investing in the financial markets and my curiosity flourished. I became highly motivated to learn more and enthusiastically helped family and friends when they came to me for advice on finances. I became quite good in investing and handling finances and strongly believe that I have found my passion. That is the reason I chose to enroll in the MBA program with a concentration of finance at UIW.
