I transitioned to Shell following the takeover of BG Group in February 2016. My key responsibilities during this time was to implement the Shell Group tax reporting methodology to the legacy BG UK entities, ensuring all key reporting deadlines were met in the first year post acquisition and acquisition accounting entries were reported correctly.In addition I supported the transition of the UK corporate tax compliance, UK group reporting and PRT returns to Shells Chennai office. I worked with the Chennai team to develop corporate tax working papers for each of the UK entities and worked with the team to ensure a smooth transition of the UK tax reporting to Chennai following the adoption of the Shell tax reporting methodology.

Group Reporting Tax Manager in the Compliance and Reporting Team at BG Group. Responsible for preparing tax disclosures for the year end and quarterly press releases, filing both the UK corporation tax and petroleum tax returns and tax disclosures for inclusion in UK statutory accounts. Key responsibilities included all aspects of the UK tax compliance, managing HMRC, quarterly reporting under IFRS, SAO and providing advice to business units in respect of ad hoc matters such as VAT and tax risk.
