Within a 12 month period, I was able to utilize historical claim data to provide recommendations that would be most financially beneficial for the organization that saved both the insurer and insured over $300K. All while still providing an outstanding care experience for the member receiving care.- Worked with multiple teams to develop a "Potential High Cost Claim" tracker, in which, I determine a predicted claim cost for members with active extended admissions before we receive billed charges. This eliminates the surprise of high costing claims, while also giving the insurer the opportunity to recommend alternative care options to the member that may be more cost effective.- Created a data structure and audit process for newly collected data from a 3rd party vendor that oversees the distribution of the OTC and Grocery benefit for Medicare Advantage members. Analyzing this data, I determined that the insurer was overcharged over $15K in the first two quarters of 2022.Additionally, I am a big supporter of non-profit organizations and have had great experiences developing outward facing Tableau dashboards. These dashboards give non-profits leverage in describing challenges within their community.
