TA for Dr. Leakhena Nou's Sociology of Human Rights and Social Justice, Sociology of Gender, and Medical Sociology courses at CSULB.I love to use the skills I learned to help people. And this is where I find the most fulfillment as a technician. This is most especially true with the technical support that I provided while acting as a TA or teaching assistant to Dr. Nou. In a nutshell, I spent over a year acting as her technical service/support while providing peer facilitation and leading in-class discussions on human rights as a TA.As an electronics/information systems technician:• Assisted in the development and management of Dr. Nou’s synchronous and asynchronous sociology courses during the sudden onset of COVID-19 policies in March 2020.• Provided technical assistance to Dr. Nou and her students for all issues pertaining to the classroom audio/video equipment rack and CSULB’s learning management system (BeachBoard).• Volunteered to act as Dr. Nou’s technical support following my graduation from CSULB.As a teaching assistant:• Provided peer-facilitation and led in class discussions on human rights issues and literature relevant to the course.• Provided insights and feedback on course syllabi.• Actively managed course content.• Communicated regularly on all things relevant to the course, such as changes made to readings and assignments, sending reminders and clarification if students needed assistance, providing individual and group tutoring, and providing feedback on written and oral assignments.• Conducted critical review of a wide range of human rights literature.

• Assisted site coordinator with planning and execution of airport pick-ups, transportation, check in/check out of student housing, events, and activities for study abroad students in the Tokyo area. Electronics Technician (Petty Officer 2nd Class) onboard USS Preble DDG 88 with specializations in satellite communications and information systems management.As an electronics technician, I managed and executed the maintenance of external communications and navigational radar equipment onboard USS Preble during three very challenging and dynamic Western Pacific deployments. While performing these duties, I also served as a Food Service Attendant and Stretcher Bearer (Medical Response Team).Experience• Over 500 preventative and corrective maintenance actions performed on external communications and navigational radar systems, resulting in 100% operability and connectivity throughout three major Western Pacific deployments.• Provided audio and video setup for crew training, meetings, and captain’s calls (ship wide meetings).
