Develop and lead the implementation of AGD’s Data Strategy 2022-2024, data governance capabilities and associated policies as well as build data visualisation capabilities throughout AGD. I am also responsible for establishing and building AGD’s first centralised evaluation team.

In this role, I manage evaluations conducted by my team, and manage the Evaluation Ready process (developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks) within the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. I also provide advice to other teams regarding program and policy design from an evaluation perspective.I also helped design and deliver the 'Evaluation Ready and You' workshop series to help build evaluative capability across the department.

The Regional Patent Examination Training (RPET) program is a competency based training program delivered in a Blended format to several ASEAN and African countries. The 2 year program requires me to develop and deliver of training material for Virtual Classrooms, face-to-face, discussion boards, and self-paced online modules as well as establishing and maintaining productive Communities of Practice. Participants are mentored and progressively assessed against defined skill sets and international standards of practice.Other roles and responsibilities:• Establishing various Communities of Practice across multiple sections and different groups within IP Australia to help establish, promote, and maintain a culture of learning. This included designing and developing Confluence-based web-sites, establishing and promoting various Discussion Boards, facilitating group sessions. • Developing Blended Learning Programs. • Examiner of Patents with Acceptance Delegation in Pharmaceutical technologies;• Specialise in pharmaceutical, immunology, biotechnology, gene therapy, cosmetics, fertilisers, lipids, and cutting edge therapeutics;• Highly experienced IP searcher including gene and protein sequence searchers; and• Trainer for various chemical IP sections for implementation of the Raising the Bar Act which came into effect in April 2013.• Awarded the 'Mortar & Pestle Award' for outstanding contribution to the Pharmaceutical section's overall performance and in recognition of my extra additional training roles.

Manage a team of 5 Patent Examiners ensuring productivity targets are achieved. This role also required the management of 1 Team Member on an Early Intervention Action Plan (EIAP). EIAP management included daily workplace conversations, monitoring, and establishing realistic weekly workload planning. Also required, were weekly reports on this Team Member's progress.

This role required me to manage a team of 5 patent examiners to ensure that they all achieved their productivity targets. One of my team was a trainee which saw me in a supervise, coach, and mentor. My team also included one member on a Return to Work Plan (RTW) as the result of a workplace injury. RTW management required almost daily conversations and assessments as well as me providing a formal evaluation of this Team Member's to Workplace health.

Managing a team of 5 Patent Examiners including 2 trainees requiring me to be supervisor, mentor, and, coach. One of my team members were also transitioning off of a Return to Work Plan. This required regular conversations and working together to establish realistic workload planning and management.
