The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and execution of the strategic plan of the Foundation. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. Major Accomplishments• In my inaugural year, more than doubled the operating revenue of the VAPA Foundation from ~200k to ~$450k. This increased capacity further covered professional development, artistic materials, and guest residencies outside SDUSD budget. • Secured approximately $900k two years in a row in Level Up funding to provide multi-art camps over the summer at several schools. This activity accelerated the organizations growth compared to what was projected in the organization’s three-year strategic plan ending in 2024.Duties and Job Responsibilities• Serve as VAPA’s primary spokesperson to the Foundation’s constituents, the media and the public• Seek the Board's involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and community outreach• Strategic planning and implementation• Cultivate new and steward existing relationships of all kinds• Establish policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operations• Facilitate Foundation Board and committee meetings• Guide marketing and other communications efforts• Review and approve contracts for services• Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

This includes overseeing the development of their financial policies and preparing them for their very first audit. CIH is on its way towards opening a group home for trafficked minors.

This was achieved by developing and executing an integrated fundraising and marketing plan that expanded the organization’s current development strategies. It allowed CIH to grow in its capacity to do its work and enabled them to triple the number of adult clients and families served.

Implemented new policies and procedures related to nonprofit financial reporting for the Goretti Group. These fiduciary practices facilitated data systems that were transparent, accurate, and compliant to legal and ethical responsibilities. Good reporting also allowed the board to strategically make decisions based on the organization's financial position, and explore the growth potential of the San Diego, New York, and San Francisco chapters.
