Michael Angelovich is a partner in Nix Patterson, LLP’s Austin, Texas office. Michael opened Nix Patterson's Austin office in October 2007. Michael graduated magna cum laude and second in his law school class from Baylor Law School in 1993. He obtained the highest score in Texas on the February 1993 bar exam and received honors from the Texas Supreme Court for this accomplishment.During his more than 20 years at Nix Patterson, Michael has handled complex litigation in diverse practice areas that include personal injury litigation, toxic torts, False Claims Act litigation, class actions and complex litigation. Michael’s clients have included military service men and women and veterans, injured people, harmed consumers, whistleblowers and Fortune 100 and 500 corporations. Michael also specializes in patent law as a licensed patent attorney admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.Michael developed Nix Patterson's whistleblower and False Claims Act practice and is one of the key partners managing that practice area today. Along with other Nix Patterson partners and associates, Michael represents relators in pending False Claims Act cases. Michael was the lead attorney in a series of class actions filed in Arkansas state court against accounting and insurance giants that generated class settlements valued at more than $3 billion.
