Michael Anthonisz is QTC’s Chief Economist and since 2010 has been responsible for leading the organisation's economic and financial market research efforts. Michael provides economic and market insights for key stakeholders including QTC’s Board, executive team and clients while both he and his team also produce topical research pieces which are widely read by investors, researchers and other market participants. Prior to joining QTC, Michael spent five years as an economist at the Australian Treasury in Canberra, where he worked on the Budget and revenue forecasting. Michael's specific areas of research interest include real-time assessments of the economy, decomposing the drivers of financial markets and thematic research on structural economic and market drivers such as demographics and trends in public finances.
