• Ensures timely completion and proper quality of analysis of Credit Desk and Capital Markets requests by direct reports. Ensures no material negative findings in the credit analysis area in exams, reviews or audits. Credits worked on range from $1MM up to $10BN including many Fortune 500 Companies.• As requested by Relationship Managers and Capital Markets Officers and in coordination with the Loan Origination and Servicing group, provides assistance with various aspects of closing new loans and servicing actions on existing loans including, but not limited to, document review and communications with subparticipants and involved AgFirst personnel/departments.• Provides continuous training and mentoring to the Credit Analysis staff. Actively participates in hiring and on-boarding of new Credit Analysts.• Uses strong problem solving and analytical skills to help analysts work through the most complex credits in the Banks portfolio and make sound underwriting decisions.• Exercises delegated authority to approve or reject participation/syndication offers, actions on existing AgFirst loan assets and prior-approval requests. Consults with assigned Loan Officer on Association Prior Approval Loans that present significant risks or are not appropriately structured and controlled. Serves as a Loan Committee member.• Assists Senior Management with development of and periodic updates to AgFirst policies and procedures pertaining to the credit analysis function including periodic reviews and testing of objective criteria models and underwriting standards. Also assists with the Banks internal controls including the review and testing process.• Supervises investment post-approval and monitoring function. Ensures timely processing and proper distribution of investment post-approval and OTTI analyses. • Strong ability to effectively work with Capital Market Officers, Relationship Managers, and other Bank Employees in a team environment to achieve AgFirst goals.

Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of the largest most complex AgFirst portfolio loans, Capital Markets loan analysis and underwriting, assisting Relationship Managers and Capital Market Officers with credit administration of the direct notes and bank loan portfolio including annual reviews, represents the Bank at Lender Meetings, Industry Conferences, and Training Classes across the United States.

In my role at US Bank it was my job to perform a complete financial analysis of a company to determine cash flow, liquidity, balance sheet leverage, senior cash flow leverage, etc. Once these figures are determined, then a decision is made to pursue further discussions surrounding this client if we feel like they meet our policy demands and are viewed as a business that fits the scope of the banks lending standards.
