Michael is currently supporting the City of Chicago’s Department of Aviation in support of the O’Hare 21 transformative $12 billion redevelopment plan. The redevelopment will occur in the middle of an active airport and the existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. As a key member of the O’Hare 21 team, he provides day-to-day leadership, support, and collaborative execution of project controls functions for various projects and programs. In his role as Senior Program Controls Manager, he is responsible for managing a large group of project controls professionals and several departments including scheduling, cost controls, cost estimation, IT/Systems, PMIS, reporting, and document controls.

Responsible for monitoring adherence to the Integrated Quality Management System (QMS) at the project level. Tasks include review/ approve project plans; participate in project kick-off meetings; support project lead verifier in assessing completeness and adherence to project delivery procedures and sign deliverable releases.

Primary responsibilities were to assist Senior Project Manager & General Superintendent in the coordination, scheduling and general operation of construction projects. Activities include estimating, contract buyout, scheduling, submittals, change orders, tracking costs, etc.
