I advise students on campus activities, locations, and classes that they should take their first year to ensure students have smooth transition from high school into college. I also help coordinate programs community involvement, and reports to create a safe and engaging space for all students present.

Being a mentor for students in middle school, I was able to not only guide students throughout their homework assignments, but present myself as role model. I was able to develop relationships with students who look forward to attending college in the future. I was able to develop skills that allow me to better communicate with those younger and older than me.

• Help with the logistical details of the program, including social media, e-mail and website maintenance• Market AADS Major/Minor and other initiatives on-campus• Update AADS’s Newsletter• Support committee members to plan AADS’s biannual Blacks in Boston Conference• Assist in planning the Minors’ Dinner & AVH Award Ceremony• Manage applications for the Dissertation Fellowship and Amanda V. Houston Traveling Fellowship• Assist with other office related tasks as assigned by the AADS Director and or AADS Assistant Director.
