As a skilled 2nd generation lineman and efficient project leader, Mike’s district ranked #1 among 35 districts for productivity, safety, crew responsiveness and minimized outages. At NLC, Mike utilizes subject matter expertise in electrical operations, project management and Lineman & Foreman operations to support academic training initiatives with full accountability for supervising all aspects of campus operations, including facilities & instructors.Mike formulates strategic alliances & partnerships, while negotiating win-win agreements with industry organizations such as Nevada Energy, Wells Electric and Southern California Edison. He secured a valued contract agreement from concept to partnership with Henkels & McCoy to train lineman professionals to become better employees and field operators. Mike has earned an outstanding reputation throughout the power delivery industry and actively delivers career strategy & planning for future linemen workers. He leverages Northwest Lineman College’s presidency role to facilitate academic excellence, top-notch educational offerings and electrical operations training via Pre-Apprentice training, utility training services and the ELP program to build a high-quality workforce that achieves industry excellence.As a Senior Mobile Training Advisor, Mike Appleford actively supports the industry working with safety professionals, leadership & field workers.
