I am a senior product leader with deep experience in data engineering, software development, and AI-driven solutions. I co-founded Authenticx after 20+ years of leading complex data architecture projects, building our award-winning conversational intelligence product from scratch. Our software uses 15 proprietary, healthcare-specific AI and ML models to analyze and activate this data at scale, making Authenticx one of the first companies to apply AI to customer service exchanges.Between 2021 and 2022, I scaled both the product and team to support expansion from fewer than 100 users to over 10,000 and a 10x increase in data volume—while tripling revenue and the size of my team. In 2023, Authenticx earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list as the 45th fastest-growing software company in the U.S. and the #1 fastest-growing company in Indiana. As a player-coach, I draw on my two decades of Agile experience to lead 5 product innovation teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This approach enables us to consistently outpace our large enterprise competitors.Using technology in new ways to solve hard problems is my biggest professional passion, followed closely by cultivating cultures of mentorship and continuous improvement.

Chief Technology Officer And CofounderAuthenticx Aug 2019 - PresentIndianapolis, Indiana, UsI started building the Authenticx SaaS solution in 2019 with an audacious product vision: applying advanced AI models to dark, unstructured data to improve customer experience. Today, the platform my team developed uses proprietary NLP, AI, and ML models to automatically process and analyze more than 1M customer interaction files daily. Nine of the 10 largest pharma companies are Authenticx customers, along with dozens of large health care providers and payers. We led a paradigm shift in conversational analytics:While competitors and legacy players rely on “conventional” NLP techniques—transcribing audio, breaking down parts of speech, and applying predefined taxonomies—we took a different path. Despite early skepticism from engineers and consultants, our approach combines neural networks, transformer-based architectures, and expert-labeled data to build a proprietary dataset with unique AI capabilities. From the outset, I designed Authenticx as a cloud-first SaaS platform, focusing on solving complex problems rather than managing hardware. Our architecture, built on micro-services, delivers flexibility and resilience while minimizing batch processing. Micro-batching emerged as an efficient compromise, and technologies like Kubernetes enable on-demand scaling. While traditional enterprise software often requires months or even years for initial system integration, we’ve streamlined this process to drastically reduce timelines. Our customers begin getting value from our software within 45 days. Many of our clients now leverage Authenticx insights at the CEO and board levels, showcasing the platform’s maturity and strategic value. As CTO, I’ve built 5 high-performing product engineering teams, including a front-end team, backend team, AI team, cloud infrastructure team, and PMO. I also played a key role in securing funding across our Seed, $7.5M Series A, and $20M Series B rounds, presenting the product vision and roadmap to potential investors. -
Manager Of Business Intelligence / Solution ArchitectAllegion, Plc Feb 2017 - Jul 2019Dublin 2, Dublin, IeInitially hired as an architect, I was asked to manage the BI team early in my tenure, as previous managers had been less hands-on with coaching and mentoring on both technical and soft skills. I implemented Agile methodologies to improve project execution and created smaller, cross-functional teams by pairing software engineers with business analysts. This structure facilitated faster, more effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, I led initiatives to improve and modernize Allegion’s data architecture and streamline processes:Partnered with departments across the company to define business problems, with a primary focus on sales data—particularly around the highest-performing products and markets.Collaborated across continents to integrate global sales data, enabling a unified, global perspective on performance. Allegion acquired companies in Europe and Australia between 2017 and 2019, which provided new data sources to integrate into the data warehouse. In seamlessly incorporating data from these external systems, we created a more comprehensive view of the business as a whole. Reduced time to implement new metrics and features from three months to three weeks Utilized machine learning to improve data quality across the data environment using Python and RHired data scientists to drive expand the capabilities of the BI team, growing it from 5 employees to 12 to better support the department’s goals and workload -
ConsultantVarious Consulting Engagements Oct 2015 - Feb 2017In 13 months, I led the implementation of comprehensive data architecture for Defenders, a leader in the home security industry (acquired by ADT in 2020). Without a data warehouse, the company was unable to track key metrics like call volumes and close rates, so improving insight into customer interactions was a top priority. This project involved:Designing a BI architecture roadmap, which outlined the strategic plan for developing and implementing the data environment Developing cloud-based platform architecture and technical designImplementing Lean Data Governance structure, which diverges from traditional data governance in that it prioritizes only the most essential policies, rules, and processes, cutting down on complex documentation and approvals Embedding data governance across the organization and into all appropriate development practicesAdditionally, my consulting experience during this period included assisting with staffing consultants for technical roles and process improvement for a pharmaceutical company with offices in 18 countries. Installed and implementing scrum project management methodology to drive efficiency and innovation Conducted comprehensive interviews with consultants across a range of technical specialties, evaluating both technical proficiency and alignment with project-specific requirementsProvided targeted coaching to consultants to enhance collaboration and maximize impact within the company’s broader objectives

Director Of Software Development And CofounderRyvit Jul 2013 - Sep 2015St Louis, Missouri, UsI co-founded, designed, and built software for the first data Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) for the construction industry. At the time, iPaaS was gaining traction as a solution to address the growing demand for seamless data integration across cloud and on-premises systems. In 2023, Trimble acquired Ryvit and rebranded the solutions as Data Xchange and App Xchange. Built Ryvit’s platform with C# utilizing RabbitMQ and Sql Server on Azure. Additionally, I designed self-service reporting using Qlik to make data and integrations accessible to business users which in turn accelerated the deployment of new applications and workflows for customers Played a key role in preparing and delivering presentations to venture capital firms as part of Ryvit’s successful $3.5M seed funding round. This involved crafting a compelling narrative around Ryvit's value proposition, growth potential, and market positioning.Managed the complete product feature set, overseeing end-to-end development of features by writing detailed user stories and prioritizing the backlog. Leveraged Agile methodology to ensure that the team delivered high-impact features with a focus on continuous improvement and adaptability, optimizing the development cycle for efficiency and responsivenessManaged and mentored a virtual team of 9 direct reports, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to improve team effectiveness. Fostered a collaborative environment, enhanced scrum team maturity, and implemented Agile best practices.Managed the department budget which involved allocating resources effectively and tracking key project metrics to ensure alignment with strategic goals -
CofounderThinkfirst, Llc May 2012 - May 2013After a brief stint in consulting, I shifted my focus to co-founding Think First, a software development agency, driven by a desire to build meaningful products rather than selling hours. While the venture ultimately didn't succeed, its failure was incredibly valuable. We lacked clarity around the specific problem we aimed to solve and an understanding of the target audience—fundamental requirements for any business. This lack of strategic focus gradually led us to disband, but the experience taught me invaluable lessons about the importance of purpose and direction in building sustainable businesses. -
