Michael Asada is a retired career military officer and Department of the Army public servant from New Jersey. Upon graduating from the U.S. Military Academy in 1976, he received his commission as an Armor Officer and subsequently transitioned into the Army Acquisition Corps. Combining his military and civilian time with the U.S. Government, he served a total of 35 years. In July 2010 he founded InVenture Associates, LLC and continues to serve as a consultant to business opportunities in the civilian and defense industries.As a consultant, he is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, strategic planning, executing capture plans, and coordinating business development activities. He currently serves as the business development director for HBM nCode, a leading firm in durability & data analysis. Most recently, he has become a partner in Steinsieker America, LLC, which is a natural mineral water company that specializes in artesian water rich in calcium.During his Army career, he managed Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Egyptian Tank Co-Production program. As the Deputy Program Executive Officer (PEO) for the U.S. Army’s Ground Combat Systems, he was 2nd in command of 4 Project Offices covering the Army’s Heavy Brigade Combat Team, Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Field Artillery Systems Program Office, and the Joint Robotics Program Office.
He graduated from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA (MSME in Mechanical Engineering) and the U.S. Military Academy West Point, NY (BS in General Engineering). He also studied at the University of California, Berkeley, CA in a masters program for mechanical engineering. He currently serves as the President of the Arsenal of Democracy Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). In addition, he serves on Congressman Gary Peters (MI-9) Service Academy Selection Committee.
