I run the daily operations of a small Part 133, 135, and 137 helicopter company. We do everything from animal capture work, agricultural applications, fighting fires, and other general utility work. I am a commercial helicopter pilot carded by the Department of the Interior and a certified flight instructor. I also fly airplanes privately.

Worked in conservation of biodiversity in Hells Canyon and the Owyhee Mountains of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Initiated weed inventory programs including mapping using helicopters and Digital Aerial Sketch Mapping (DASM). Coordinated information collection and sharing between Land Management Agencies, land owners, university staff, and all cooperators involved with the project. Developed training regimens for Strategic Weed Action Teams (SWAT). Planned, coordinated, and completed treatment of targeted weed species in designated areas using mechanical, chemical, fire, and grazing applications. Managed data entry and manipulation using GIS/GPS software including ArcPad 6.03/7.0, ArcMap, and ArcCatalog. Interfaced with federal and state land management agencies, local Cooperative Weed Management Areas (CWMAs), Universities, and other land owners to plan weed management, treatment, and restoration activities in Hells Canyon and the Owyhees. Monitored conservation easements for compliance and wrote reports documenting changes in easements. Wrote, obtained, and reported upon grants for The Nature Conservancy.
