Hi! I am Michael Slattery, I am the Recruitment, Talent, and Development Specialist for the Claims Conference.Being a mission-driven organization, I am looking for staff that is not only talented, but also passionate about serving a vulnerable population. I also lead talent development at the Claims Conference. Whether it's Microsoft Excel or Having Difficult Conversations, I love guiding staff through these challenging topics. I fixated my career around recruiting and talent development for two simple reasons. I love working with people, and I love solving problems. Whenever there is a new opening at the Claims Conference, or someone is attending one of my trainings, they have a problem. I find that with some strategic thinking, collaboration, and a little hard work; we can always resolve these problems. I feel such joy helping our hiring managers and training attendees work through difficult situations. I love sharing their mutual relief and joy, realizing another problem has been solved, and we can continue to work towards the Claims Conference's larger goals.Outside of work, I love reading history books of all kinds, and I particularly enjoy learning about colonialism. I also enjoy running and spending time in the park. I am also a big Yankees and Knicks fan. I also have three pets, two cats and a lovely Australian Shephard.
