Developed a novel finite element model of a friction stir weld stringer-to-skin component used in analytical component of the crack compliance method to determine the residual stresses present after welding. Performed mechanical fatigue testing on aerospace component to determined fatigue lives before and after hammer peening, results show relieving.

for M.Sc.; Developed a 2D finite element model of a steel cylinder containing a circumferential crack using FE software called ABAQUS CAE. Calculated T-stress component of stress used in constraint-based fracture mechanics analysis of crack.

Worked on instrumentation control of spectrometers using neutron particles to conduct reactor physics analysis (neutron diffraction) for stress analysis at nuclear reactor.
