Moreton Maritime Alliance is an industry association representing businesses in the boating and ocean-based industries that operate in and around Moreton Bay, QLD.The Alliance's vision is a world-leading maritime precinct in Moreton Bay, created by enhancing the region's existing infrastructure and taking advantage of the natural beauty of the bay. The objectives of the alliance are to drive sustainable economic growth and employment in the maritime industry, engage more people with the ocean, and ensure a positive and healthy future for the bay and its communities.

Cox Architecture is one of the top 50 largest architectural firms in the world, and is a multi-award-winning design practice with offices in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra, and international offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.As an associate at Cox Architecture, my roles included:- Design and delivery of large, innovative and bespoke projects in the commercial, public, residential and university sectors- Fostering a vibrant, healthy and progressive office culture through social events & staff meetings- Recruitment of new staff that met our skills requirements and were a good fit for our culture- Management, mentoring and support for individual staff members- Creating a culture of learning, through weekly 'learning at lunch'events that were presented by various consultants and suppliers.Key projects include:- National Maritime Museum of China (World Architecture Festival Award)- Sir Samuel Griffith Centre (Queensland State Award)- Eatons Hill Village Hotel and Shopping Centre

Brisbane, Australia

Donovan Hill was the most awarded architectural practice in Australia, and was renowned for it's unique and innovative designs that redefined the architectural landscape in Brisbane and in Australia.Despite being the most junior undergraduate in the office, Michael crafted an important role for himself, and made it his responsibility to oversee the implementation of 3D documentation in Revit. This represented a significant technical and cultural shift from the 2D technology that was being used at the time. The management of this process, which saw a complete transition to 3D documentation and the up-skilling of almost 40 staff over several years, was meticulously managed through careful and strategic planning with management; comprehensive and ongoing staff training; and continuous support.Throughout the transition Michael was also embedded in several large project teams and was responsible not only for the accurate and detailed documentation of these projects, but was also responsible for successful managing and maintaining each of the large and complex 3D models.

As a key technician in the office, Michael assisted the director and senior architects on several retail and commercial projects from the Gold COast to the SUnshine Coast. Key projects included:- Soul Retail component, Surfer's Paradise- Brisbane Airport Skygate Shopping Centre- Peregian Springs Shopping Centre
