Amazon Prime Air - Bringing deliveries by drone to customers under one hour after ordering.At Prime Air, my team was responsible for developing cloud-based services to accelerate the development and verification of drone software with an emphasis on simulation.- Designed and implemented a platform that orchestrates hardware-in-the-loop flight simulations and other hardware management workflows. This platform enables other engineers to efficiently iterate, test, and run drone software at scale across a fleet of test bench hardware. By enabling vehicle and verification engineers to automate deployment and testing, Prime Air can make improvements to its program in a safe, scalable way.- Designed and implemented a CI/CD pipeline integration to communicate with our hardware testing platform to automate tests in a repeatable way with each code change.- Created web portals and other interfaces to interact with our various features available from the platform designed specifically for our customers’ needs.- Developed multiple tools and libraries to ensure others with less knowledge of our technologies used were able to still reap the benefits of the platform in an easy way.- Drove our team's operational excellence bar by enforcing automated tests, service health dashboard reviews, metrics, and prioritization and triaging of customer impacting issues.

AmazonDx - Amazon's effort to increase the availability, safety, speed, and reporting of COVID-19 tests as simple and scalable as possibleJoining this team in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic dropped me into a fast-paced environment that gave me opportunities to make high-impact contributions to test takers worldwide.- Designed and implemented a laboratory information management system that allowed Amazon's COVID-19 testing throughput to scale 100x, improved test kit reporting, and improved lab technicians' organization of various lab materials. The system was designed to track the exact location of various test samples and other liquid agents involved in the lab testing process as they moved through various instruments, containers, and storage locations. This system was built using a series of barcode scanners connected to lab hardware communicating with a web server hosted in AWS using a variety of different cloud services and technologies.- Launched the public portal for customers to order, register, and view COVID-19 test results. This portal communicated with many distributed systems that coordinated the test lifecycle and served critical path traffic for all purchases of Amazon test kits, as well as internal employee registered kits.- Designed and implemented a microservice to manage the timing of notifications during the lifecycle of a registered COVID-19 test kit. This service was designed to coordinate hundreds of thousands of text and email based notifications to end customers using Amazon's COVID-19 testing offering.

RICS Software provides a full Retail POS solution that provides all the necessary tools for a retailer to be a successful modern-day business. With the growing need of scalability and connected systems, we looked to expand the existing offering and use Azure’s Service Fabric to build a microservice model to scale our offering over time.I am involved in all levels of development, from designing, developing, and maintaining the backbone of the new architecture, to implementing new features from concept to design. I also serve as a resource for other developers and supervisors for making architecture decisions and analyzing requirements and feasibility from a Dev-Ops perspective. We use Agile day to day in powering our product planning including sprints, time estimation, weekly stand-ups and periodic retrospectives to ensure we are working as efficiently as possible.Back-End:- Conceptualized and developed an omni-channel e-commerce solution starting with Amazon and Shopify that connects customers existing products’ data in a stream-lined way- Built multiple tools utilizing data connectivity to modernize our previous software product- Built and maintained a high throughput, replicated, transactional pub/sub messaging queue with another developer to service the entire new generation of software products- Mixture of data store technologies such as SQL Server, NoSQL (MS Table Storage and Blob), and Service Fabric’s Reliable collections. My SQL Server experience goes beyond the surface into replication, stored procedures, transactional level locking, and SSRS (minor)- Design and development of multiple ASP.net APIs to power our growing feature set in the POS spaceFront-End:- Utilized vanilla JavaScript with a combination of Web Forms and Web API to build the necessary tooling and feature set to service omni-channel e-commerce for our solution- Consistent bug-fixes and tweaks to all web facing components in our existent solution

As an intern at RICS Software I worked on a UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app to be used on tablets for booking rooms throughout the office, as well as another mode that served as an overview of meetings times and an entrance screen to our office. This experience taught me a lot of base level UI/UX tips and building more concise APIs. My front-end experience grew immensely, and I felt I grew a lot as a developer this summer. I enjoyed the work environment and later took my offer to work as a full-time developer to further grow and apply my determination and skill set to a larger scale project.
