Part of tissue engineering research team focused on developing new products and improving current products that are used in many soft tissue repair and reconstructive surgeries. Our projects ranged from basic research to FDA approval. Projects required microbiological and biochemical assays, mechanical testing, and animal surgical models.

Performed purity analysis of product lines for shipment to customers using ICP-MS, Ion Chromatography, TOC analyzer, Instron, GC-MS, HPLC, and Particle Counter.

Part of an interdisciplinary team focused on the development of a small molecule therapy for Multiple Myeloma. Worked to improve membrane permeability of drug candidate. Tested permeability of different analogs using the PAMPA assay. LC-MS used for PAMPA assay, purification, and QC checks of reactions.

Studied the effects of alpha-aminoisobutyric acid on programmed cell death in Marchantia polymorpha, using TUNEL assay, Confocal Microscopy, and GC-MS

Implemented an optimized protocol for blood glucose management in open heart surgery patients. Shadowed physicians, nurses, and physician’s assistants.
