Today Cabrillo Credit Union serves as the primary financial institution for those employed by the U.S. Border Patrol and other federal agencies in the San Diego area. Cabrillo Credit Union also serves Sharp HealthCare, Carlsbad City employees, and is open to anyone who lives or works in San Diego County.The Supervisory Committee is responsible for ensuring that the Board of Directors and management of the Credit Union meet required financial reporting objectives and establish practices and procedures sufficient to safeguard members' assets. To carry out its responsibilities, the Supervisory Committee determines whether internal controls are established and effectively maintained to achieve the Credit Union's financial reporting objectives, and ensures the Credit Union's accounting records and financial reports are promptly prepared and accurately reflect operations and results; and that the relevant plans, policies, and control procedures established by the Board of Directors are properly administered. The Supervisor Committee is responsible for ensuring that the Credit Union adheres to NCUA regulatory requirements and arranges for the annual audit conducted by an outside auditing firm.
