-Responsible for the oversight of OSP projects ensuring their progress and successful completion in a timely and cost-effective manner.-Responsible for the organization, implementation, and scheduling of the labor/crews for the construction of the project.-Coordinate with State and/or local municipalities as well with other utilities or departments.-Perform inspections to verify design adherence, identify maintenance requirements and safety protocols.-Ensure the safety of the OSP employees and maintain safety policies and procedures.-Oversee both aerial and underground construction : installation, trenching, bridge crossing, splicing, termination, conduit, handholes, vaults and cabinets.-Oversee and support restoration methods for routine and emergency conditions such as fiber damage, power failure and other issues.-Forecast budget for tools, equipment, training, safety and industry requirements.-Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.-Ensures the local team and the contractors comply with State, local and company requirements while working within the public ROW or utility easement.-Strong teamwork with the Construction team as well as the Fiber Designing Team.-Material Management.-Ensure accurate reporting- invoicing/timesheets.- Maintain accurate records/as-builts.-Attend Fiber Team weekly meetings and pre-construction meetings.-OSP quality control and reporting.-Assist with field work if necessary.-Maintain accurate documentation.

-Create High & Low-Level Designs and costs estimates for fiber access networks.-Produce and QC permit/construction drawings from GIS based design software.-Understanding of and creating splice matrix and fiber assignments.-Support project management and General Managers on matters including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and quality control.-Raise project concerns or risks to management, as necessary.-Knowledge of obtaining and digitizing right-of-way and easements where required.-Understanding of OSP design, planning, construction and the ability to perform a cost analysis to determine the most cost-effective and efficient manner of the placement of communication facilities.-Adequate understanding of OSP installation and maintenance technician activities.-Ability to gather the necessary field information regarding aerial, buried, or underground OSP telecommunications cables and associated facilities in the design of work orders to place new network, utility poles, hand holes, terminal, cabinets, etc., or to modify the existing network.-Working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; deep understanding of communications engineering and related systems.-Setting up and coordinating field work and site visits.
