Established in 1989, the Emma L. Bowen Foundation is dedicated to creating career opportunities in the media industry for youth of color through programs that focus on scholastic achievement, direct work experience and professional development. Together with its more than 50 corporate sponsors, the Foundation currently supports approximately 250 students each year through a multi-year internship program for students of color working at media companies across the country.In my role as Director of Strategy and Analytics, I manage and evaluate EBF's operations, processes, financial sustainability and program performance. I help drive strategy that leads to value creation for students and partners as well as new revenue generation opportunities for the foundation. I ensure consistent and effective internal processes, communications and oversight in order to strengthen EBF's programs and position the organization for continued success.Reporting to EBF's CEO, I collaborate with the SVP of Recruitment to develop, deliver and evaluate EBF student programs and promote new partner recruitment. I also work with the Operations Manager and Executive Assistant to monitor internal operations and human resources.The team is a tight-knit, energetic, and passionate group working to provide current and future partnering companies with a high-quality talent pipeline of students of color and to give these students guidance so they can successfully transition to full-time employment in media.

Previously, I was the Membership and Operations Manager with Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP). Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) is a national network of foundation professionals and social entrepreneurs who strive for excellence in the practice of philanthropy, a platform for new & marginalized voices in philanthropy and a pipeline of diverse talent. EPIP's mission is to develop emerging leaders committed to building a just, equitable, and sustainable society. In my role at EPIP, I worked closely with the Executive Director to plan and implement EPIP's national programs, including the flagship national conference, national webinars, and new initiatives and partnerships. I oversaw EPIP's operational infrastructure, managed EPIP's finances and day-to-day operations, and supervised EPIP's support staff and fellows. On a membership level, I maintained relationships with close to 50 member foundations, supervised EPIP membership programs, systems and offerings for more than 900 national members, and provided ongoing operational and programmatic support to chapter leaders in EPIP's 12 chapter locations nationwide.

Previously, I worked as a Program Manager and Head Program Manager at the Champion Learning Center, a federally funded organization which provided free tutoring services to low-income public school students in New York City. I supervised a team of six program managers, overseeing all aspects of program delivery to thousands of students, including oversight of new teacher orientation, teacher/family matching, ongoing tutor management and coaching, family outreach, general operations, systems management and quality assurance. I ensured effective program delivery by liaising between parents, students, tutors and Champion staff.
