Hired on at the GE Service Center in Evansville IN on November 11, 1975 and continued to work for the facility until March of 2017.In 1978 successfully completed Switchgear I Technical training in Schenectady NY and became certified in that field. Successfully completed Switchgear II training shortly thereafter and became certified in Relay Testing. Worked 41+ years working in shop and on-site for coal mining and all types of industries in the Tri-state area and across country. I am proficient at disassembly, inspection testing and repair of Switchgear, Small, Medium, and Large A. C. and D. C. motors, transformers and related equipment.While with GE I also learned to operate small mills, lathes, and other machines to complete repairs. Worked on-site at nuclear facilities and shipyards on oil rig and cable tender ship. Was department work leader for several years as well as Project Leader for the repair of all the electrical equipment on a dragline that’s was dismantled in Illinois and reassembled in Wyoming. Also worked several years as work leader on-site as needed, communicating, organizing, with customers. From 1998-2003 I worked as the EHS coordinator for the facility. I provided health and safety training for the employees at the facility. My duties also included preparation of reports to local, state, and federal agencies such as Evansville EPA, IDEM, and OSHA and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. I successfully completed OSHA 40 hour training and was trained annually in all EHS requirements for working in manufacturing facilities. Also successfully completed Train the Trainer course with LGE (Louisville Gas and Electric) to be certified to conduct safety training for our employees to work on-site at their facilities. My training included certification to conduct work on equipment at all voltage levels. I am willing to complete any training necessary for working at a new facility. Also maintained PIT (forklift) training. Have operated various types of electrical, propane, gas, and diesel powered lifts. Have experience working from platform/scissor lifts and articulated lifts. Retired after 41 years of service.At this point I am looking to find a company to work for that will provide an income and agreeable environment to continue my career whether in the same field or training for a new one.
