Diligence and integrity are driving forces behind my creative process. I have been challenging myself in the art of woodworking since the end of high school.Attempting to make a living doing what you are passionate about is a reason to be persistent and persevere. The educational nature of perseverance may at times seem counter productive however, when two steps must be taken in reverse in order to go eight forward, the passionate will tend to pursue further. Drawing a steady clientele is enough motivation to continue creating not to mention the internal floodgates that open when the mind, heart, and hands are enabled to work as one. Monumental gratitude can be achieved when you are able to bring to life a concept or design that has been generated in your head or interpreted from another's, put to work in drawings and/ or sketches, and then fabricated from raw materials. There is a fortuitous balance and building of self awareness, self worth, and integrity when one's own skill set is sought out to capture various moments in time or evoke emotions through the creation of Craft (furniture, objects, or artistic reproductions of expressed ideas). Building the bonds and relationships developed through aesthetic connectivity is not an ongoing event. Although, the event itself stays alive through the by-product (or end result) of the process. Thus, new experiences may grow to become timeless keepsakes and/ or heirlooms.
