Michael Bartish is a founding member of SBBL Law. He regularly defends and represents clients in state courts throughout Michigan and federal courts nationwide. Mike is a former active-duty officer in the Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. While on active duty, Mike served as senior trial counsel and defense counsel in military court. Mike is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves where he has served as a trial defense service attorney, a senior defense counsel, and an appellate, defense counsel, and the staff judge advocate for the 46th MP Command in the Michigan National Guard. Mike is currently a team leader with the 117th LOD in Las Vegas, Nevada.After four years on active duty, Mike entered private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan, working with two other law firms before joining Gary Springstead to start the firm in 2011. The firm grew from a three-attorney, four-person operation in 2011 into the premier criminal defense attorney in West Michigan with five partners, five associates, one of-counsel, and four staff.
