As General Manager of the New Zealand business I am proud to be leading our team of over 230 staff at Sanitarium, providing healthy, nutritious and affordable food choices to help people lead better and happier lives and to create stronger communities. At Sanitarium, we are passionate about health, safety and wellbeing, dedicated to delivering an exceptional service to our customers, retailers and trade partners, and we are always looking for ways to do things more efficiently, optimising resources and reducing waste.I am proud of the organisation’s commitment to give to communities in need, partnering with charities and initiatives including the Breakfast Club Programme, Weet-Bix Triathlon and NZ Food Network, to deliver health, hope and happiness to every person. I take the responsibility of feeding a nation seriously, ensuring that our own people are protected and supported, and promoting good quality, nutritious food to communities across New Zealand.

As Head of Logistics for Australia and New Zealand, I led the logistics and distribution functions, aligning these with strategic plans for the supply chain, optimising resources and driving performance in the team in order to respond to a rapidly growing market facing numerous challenges. I oversaw everything from supply chain planning, warehousing and distribution, through to material scheduling and customer services. I was able to continually develop operational functions, increasing service visibility for customers, including Coles and Woolworths, to deliver sustainable returns and embed long-term partnerships. Leading and motivating a team of six direct reports, with a wider team of +100, I created a culture that is engaged, inspired and committed to what we do every day. I have led transformation projects including the acquisition of a $55M warehouse centre, integrating the site into the network to double warehouse space, improve supply chain performance and support the massive and ongoing growth of the business. Other CAPEX and OPEX projects I have led include securing buy-in for the implementation of new software, introducing several logistics network solutions, and leveraging partnerships with third-party partners to improve our transport and warehouse capability.

Moving to the Customer Supply Chain Manager role, I engaged with retailers across Australia to understand their needs, challenges and capability, and develop solutions that were mutually beneficial and delivered value. I coached and mentored a team of six customer service representatives, creating a team that embraced a client-centric focus and always delivered exceptional service. This has a direct impact on our performance in the industry, consistently achieving in annual industry surveys as one of the top Five suppliers in the country.

Working closely with the organisation’s largest client, Woolworths, in addition to a portfolio of independent retailers. I was able to build and nurture partnerships, providing outstanding account management and developing deep understanding of retailer needs.

As Marketing Brand Manager for Weet-Bix, I led and delivered innovative communication and brand strategies to drive revenue and engage with communities. This included supporting continued growth in the Weet-Bix triathlon series, promoting positive brand recognition and connection.
