In this role, I oversee attendance procedures, schedule ARB meetings, petition for truancy court and revocation, monitor attendance rates and trends, and manage bullying and harassment investigations. Additionally, I lead MTSS-B initiatives, document behavioral infractions, oversee the discipline matrix, and coordinate various behavioral consequences. I also conduct restorative circles and create materials for student reflection on behavior.Previously, I served as the World Language Department Chair at Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet School. In this role, I provided guidance and mentorship to fellow educators, led professional learning communities, and analyzed school-wide data to enhance instructional strategies and school performance.My academic background includes a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University and a Bachelor of Arts in German & Secondary Education with a minor in Mathematics from Grand Valley State University. I also participated in a study abroad program at Pädagoische Hochschule Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany, furthering my expertise in education and the German language.As a recipient of the SEED Fellowship and a member of the Tennessee World Language Teaching Association Board of Directors, I have been recognized for my leadership and advocacy in education. Additionally, I have developed and implemented Safe-Space training for educators, designed district-wide curriculum scope and sequences, and mentored new teachers.Beyond my administrative and leadership roles, I have a proven track record as a German teacher, with students consistently achieving high pass rates on the AP German Language and Culture exam and earning national recognition on the National German Exam.
