I have been providing commercial and corporate legal solutions for the spectrum of early startups to mature SaaS/software/hardware companies with a current focus on cybersecurity that leverages artificial intelligence. On a daily basis, I counsel a broad range of internal organizations – sales, product, engineering, operations, marketing, HR and finance – on matters of contract negotiation, product development, commercial distribution, procurement, IP, data security/privacy, AI regulations and compliance.My primary responsibilities have included:• Building a legal program for startups and new business operations of an international corporation;• Establishing, growing and managing a team of attorneys and legal professionals;• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, including partner and customer relationships, licensing, distribution, consulting, manufacturing, marketing and confidentiality;Supporting a Board of Directors and its committees (compensation; audit; 401K) as Corporate Secretary; and• Consistently anticipating, guarding against and providing timely strategies for management of potential risks in matters of contract, regulation, finance and compliance.Skill/Specialties:• 10+ years of hands-on legal experience, including substantive experience in product development, commercial agreements, corporate transactions, corporate compliance and corporate governance;• In-house corporate experience as an individual contributor, manager and collaborator with cross-functional teams;• Extensive drafting and negotiating experience; and• Common sense judgment combined with a cheerful and enthusiastic attitude.
