As a member of Pieces Technologies Inc.'s programming team, I oversaw the development of a enterprise AI software program for hospitals. In real-world inpatient clinical environments, this LLM generated more than 1 million autonomously written clinical summaries. It generated in real-time for more than 72,000 hospitalized patients across a range of clinical disciplines, including internal medicine, surgical subspecialties, organ transplantation, multispecialty ICUs, labor and delivery, and pediatrics. A “severe hallucination rate” of less than 0.1% was achieved within 7 months of improvement in prompt engineering. This LLM was developed using contextual modeling, collaborative and adversarial AI, human-in-the-loop supervision and automated clinical prompting, which I also provide to achieve low hallucination rates.

Completed the program development of two healthcare IT applications that communicated with the health plans, providers and patients. The first application captured open gaps in care for patients thru claims data. The program id patients with open HEDIS gaps in care, communicated to providers from the health plan, provided P4P incentives to the provider, provided documentation tips to the provider and then help the provider close these HEDIS gaps. The application also allowed the health plan to hold wellness fairs and during these fairs close HEDIS gaps in care. The application therefore improved the HEDIS scores for both the health plan and the providers, overall improving patient care and improving the reimbursement for the provider and the improvement of the Star rankings of the Health plan , improving their reimbursement from CMS. The second application focus was on improving HCC and CDPS risk adjustment scores thru improvement of ICD-9 coding. Again the application communicated between the health plan, providers and patients. The application id patients who had chronic disease, provided a incentive P4P program for the providers, provided real time education to the provider on documentation tips and other diagnosis that may be missing in documentation. The application overall improved the medical record documentation, thereby improving the quality of care, improving the risk management score and improving the reimbursement to the help plan by CMS. While providing the project management skills to develop these applicationsI was also involved with development of marketing and sales for both applications.
