SR Designer/Drafter: In a collaborative design effort with project managers I am tasked with all design and drafting responsibilities required to take a project from concept to construction. My responsibilities include:• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions, and directions. • Defines, communicates, and manages scope, design intent and design process for direct Project manager review. • Responds to and negotiates deadlines given by internal and external clients. • Proposes recommendations to optimize energy efficiency including: o Control strategies o Equipment replacement o System modifications o Implementation of innovative technologies. • Coordinates with sales leads, cost estimators, Project Manager’s, detailing and field personnel on the development of design projects. • Self-performs and directs resources designing and modeling using AutoCAD. • Support sales efforts by providing engineering analysis and developing schematic level designs. • Investigates, evaluates and troubleshoots existing system operations. • Provides a variety of system designs that include air, hydronic, piping, sheet metal. • Perform Mechanical design calculations as applicable to design• Consistently applies, maintains, and enforces current design standards. • MEP coordination (field clash detection) meetings. • Mechanical Building Load Modeling (Trace 700)• Mechanical Product Selection• Mechanical Design and Drafting (HVAC)• Mechanical Specification updates from Master Spec

Design• Provides a variety of system designs that include air, hydronic, piping, plumbing, sheet metal. • Perform design calculations as applicable to design field: mechanical, plumbing • Frequently reviews design with sales and estimating to ensure project is within budget/ VE ideas have been explored. • Participates in the design start of new projects. • Performs preliminary design field surveys for potential projects. • Consistently applies, maintains, and enforces current design standards. • MEP coordination (field clash detection) meetings. • Preform energy modeling calculations. • Other duties as assigned.
