General Manager, Puteri Gunung Hotel January 2016 to January 2019Lembang (Bandung), IndonesiaA lovely 130-room hotel, built in a garden like setting of 5.5 hectares, the property had long been neglected in terms of upkeep, general maintenance, and service standards.• Renovations: Securing a bank loan, we launched an extensive renovation program which I subsequently continued financing through the cash flow of hotel operations and a capital reserve plan successfully initiated / negotiated with the owners: 5% of Gross Revenues. • Service /Training: By emphasizing training, coaching, and personalized Guest Service, I developed the hospitality and service ethics of this team of 150 staff members• Sales & Marketing: developed new markets for Groups and social media presence on Instagram, launched new hotel website, and programmatic advertising. Took a personal role in sales efforts, especially with NGOs • Financial & Service Goals: Reliable benchmark figures (prior to 2016) were not available, however we achieved continually progressed year to year on key parameters; final GOP – 39%; final F&B Dept. profit @ 42% and Rooms @ 64%; Owners’ Dividends increased by 11% YOY. TripAdvisor Rankings improved from a dismal #113 to a respectable #18. Achieved official 4-star certification from Indonesian government.

Spent two winter seasons at this premier private Club / Resort in Key Largo, FL (Sept to May for 03/04 and 05/06 respectively); for second season by concentrating on personalized member /guest service with staff - improved guest service scores and surpassed profitability goals for Rooms Division. Personalized attended to VIP guests and handling challenging guest situations.

Had a short term contract during the educational sabbatical of the GM, during which time I expanded the hotel's activity program, introduced spa services, developed human (department heads) team, and dropped food costs from a high of 54% to 32%

• Established complete SOP, Marketing Plan, Spa Program, and Management team for 130 room historic resort spa, advising on renovation. Due to lack of financing by owner.the project came tio a standstill, and I resigned, with Intercontinental full support. IHG rescinded their management contract shortly afterwards.

Hua Hin, Thailand

Led and developed the opening team, including my successor, for the opening of this semi-private, premier destination spa. Instrumental in the marketing of memberships, marketing plan, and equiping of CAPEX, FF&E, & OE, saving nearly a half million $ for the owner. Khun Boonchu Rojanastien. Also inputted a great deal in the spa and health program. Resigned to return to Mexico
