Managed 3 direct reports and 28 broker representatives in seven states. Responsible for tonnage, sales, and margin achievement. Primary focus was customer relations, service, and customized promotions.

Responsible for 12 units averaging $4,500,000 per week. Responsibilities included sales, margin, and profit achievement, budgeting, and staff development. To achieve the goals of the organization I had to work with the unions to reduce grievances, improve moral and ultimately reduce labor cost. In a three year period my group's consumer rating was increased from 5.5 to 8.7 on a scale of 10.
