Writer and editor with 4+ years of experience with editing and publishing as well as 3+ years of teaching experience at the university level. I am about to graduate from Bowling Green State University's Master of Fine Arts program with a focus in Poetry.I served as the Managing Editor for Mid-American Review, the international literary journal affiliated with BGSU. Responsibilities include email correspondence, project management, copy editing, social media, receiving and delivering mail, and evaluating incoming creative writing submissions. Skills include group leadership, written and oral communication, critical thinking and analysis, proofreading, and Microsoft Office Suite. I have published poems with literary journals such as BOOTH Journal, Moon City Review, Variant Literature, and Baltimore Review, among other places. My teaching experience ranges from Introductory Writing Composition to Introductory Craft of Poetry classes. Having been a Graduate Assistant at BGSU and teaching in the UWP Writing Program and Creative Writing Department, I have institutional knowledge of higher education ecosystems and experience with student-teacher relationships, drafting syllabi, course designing, lesson planning, email correspondence, grading, both research and creative writing, MLA Style, and Library Databases.I am a productive team member and a fast learner; I can pick up anything new to me and adapt to anything needed from me.
